Remember the Telegraph arcticle by John Clare (5/2/03)?
"Computers motivate children...
Computers make lessons fun."
Actually it is good teaching which motivates children, and like any 'technological' tool, whether it's a tape recorder, PE apparatus or chalk and a slate, computers can only make lessons fun if they are being used appropriately.

Unfortunately, like any other kind of teaching, using computers requires some hard work before the lesson - planning, assembling resources etc. - and, most important of all perhaps, evaluating the lesson afterwards.

All too often we fail to ask questions about our ICT lessons: Why did that happen? How can I avoid that next time? Should I change the task order next time? Would this lesson be better without using ICT...
