‘Live’ use of the internet

Unless you have a small group of three or four students (that’ll be the day!) then don’t. However much ‘bandwidth’ you have, if thirty students are trying to access the same webpages it will be very, very slow.

The last thing you want is students sitting around waiting ages for something to appear on their screen. It’s a recipe for disaster - they won’t get much work done, they’ll become disillusioned with it all, you won’t realise the objectives of your lesson, and you will come to dread using the technology and end up thinking “it’s a waste of time” - which, of course, it is!.
